(ANS – Caracas) – On Sunday 13 November at the Provincial House of the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians in Venezuela there was a meeting between the local Salesian Family and Mother Yvonne Reungoat, Superior General of the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians (FMA).
The meeting which lasted all Sunday afternoon began with Mass at which the Provincial of the Salesians in Venezuela, Fr Luciano Stefani presided accompanied by some other Salesians and various representatives of the groups of the Salesian Family. This was followed some time together during which Mother Reungoat said publically: “The future of the Salesian Family is always open in Don Bosco, Mother Mazzarello and all the Founders of the various groups."
“I am sure that here the light is shining, and will always continue to do, because the Salesian Family is light; with Mary Help of Christians we will never have anything to fear because she is powerful. Some people don’t know this, but we have the advantage of knowing it. She is so powerful that with her it is also possible to follow new paths with great hope, ” the Mother General added.
The gathering concluded with a musical in typical Venezuelan style and rhythm. Mother Reungoat also met a representative group of the Salesian Youth Movement, and invited the young people to be part of the Salesian Family; “We are counting on you,” she told them.
The Mother General of the FMA is in Venezuela visiting and getting to know the centres in the country including the Salesian Missions among the Indians of the Vicariate Apostolic of Puerto Ayacucho, in Venezuelan Amazonia, entrusted to the Salesians of Don Bosco and where the FMA are making a very valuable active contribution.
