Fiat India will make available its great experience, knowledge and training facilities to provide the best training for the students interested in making a career in the automobile industry.
“Diksha” – an Indian expression meaning a fresh start – involves two courses:
• Multi Brand Basic Automobiles Awareness for 4 Wheelers: A short term programme of four months. There will be three groups in a year and each group will have twenty five students.
• Centre of Excellence: A long term programme of two years duration. The programme and the syllabus will be on a par with the I.T.I. Courses available in the State, and the number of students in a group will be 21.
Both the Programmes will have accreditation from the National Council for Vocational Training – New Delhi and Joint Certification from FIAT and Don Bosco.
At “Don Bosco Vyawasaik Prashikshan Kendra” in Pune there are 4 Salesians at it offers non-formal vocational training courses. Linked with the courses is a hostel which can accommodate 150 youngsters. During the year there are a succession of courses for a total of over 400 young people
