(ANS – Lviv) – Between 16 and 19 October the Economer General of the Salesian Congregation, Brother Claudio Marangio paid a visit to the Byzantine-Ukraine Rite  Provincial Delegation of the East Europe Circumscription.

Accompanied by Fr Giuseppe Pellizzari, Provincial based at the Moscow headquarters of the Circumscription and by Fr Rino Pistellato, Delegate for the Ukraine, Bro Claudio was able to see the current situation of the Salesian Congregation in the country and the encouraging future prospects. The Economer General used the four days at his disposal to visit the Salesian centres, examine the development and expansion projects  and coordinate the lines for  future development with the local Rectors.

Among his various engagements, of particular significance was Bro Marangio’s meeting with the prenovices in the Salesian house of “Saint John Bosco” at Vynnyky, one of a series of meetings in order to get to know the Salesians in the Delegation; and a meeting with the Council of the Delegation with whom the Economer studied plans for  possible development. The projects will serve specifically to make the confreres of the Delegation fully responsible for the financial management of the works.
