(ANS – Roma) – On the sdb.org site the “lectio divina” on the three key issues of the 27th General Chapter are now available.

As first mentioned some months ago by the Moderator of the GC27 and Councillor for Formation, Fr Francesco Cereda, the “lectio” are being offered to individuals, to local and Province communities to assist  them in their reflections in preparation for both Provincial and General Chapters.

“It is one way of making ourselves present as an Association, at this important time for the Congregation,” says  Fr Juan José Bartolomé, President of the Salesian Biblical Association.

Each key issue is considered from the point of view or two biblical episodes: Mystics in the Spirit (the vocation of Paul and of the rich young man), Prophets of fraternity (the common life of the first Christian community and common life and the variety of gifts of the Spirit) and Servants of the Young (the multiplication of the loaves  and the apostolic passion of  Paul). The commentaries are provided respectively by  Fr Bartlomé, Fr Giorgio Zevini and Fr Francis J. Moloney.
