| Philippines – Two events for ADMA |
(ANS – Dumaguete) – Last 8 September 2012, on the Feast of the Birthday of Our Mother Mary, the Association of Mary Help of Christians (ADMA)-FIS celebrated its 1st National Convention, held in St. Louis School-Don Bosco in Calindagan, Dumaguete City; taking part were ADMA members from Victorias-Negros Occidental, Cebu City and Dumaguete City.
The theme for the 1st National Convention was "ADMA: Then and Now: Continuing St. John Bosco's great devotion to Mary Help of Christians". Presiding at Mass in the morning was Fr Ronald Guiao, Vice Provincial with other Salesians concelebrating: Fr. Daniel Elemia, Spiritual Director of the members from Dumaguete, Fr. Godofredo Atienza Spiritual Director of the members from Victorias and Cebu, Fr. Wilbert Dianon, Fr. Vernil Lopez and Fr. Nestor Impelido SDB Provincial Delegate for ADMA who also gave the homily
During the day Mrs Demetria Locsin, one of the first ADMA members and other Senior members from Dumaguete City were honoured for their love and devotion to Jesus and Mary Help of Christians and for their untiring commitment to the association and the good example given to the younger members. Also in attendance were Ms. Maria Junifer Maliglig, ADMA-FIN National President and Ms. Rheena May Lim, ADMA-FIN, Vice President.
The event ended with the blessing of Mary Help of Christians and praying the Entrustment of the Home. All had a wonderful experience meeting other ADMA members and they look forward to celebrating the next National Convention in 2013. They went home to spread the love to Jesus and devotion to Mary Help of Christians, the mission entrusted to them by St. John Bosco.
