Italy - Second Course for those involved in peace, civil and democratic living
(ANS - Rome: 21 February 2007) - Between 4 and 10 March at the Salesian Pontifical University (UPS) in Rome there will be the II School of Formation towards Peace, Civic and Democratic Living) organised by the ESHED (Organization for Civic Education, Peace and Democracy, Israel), The Way (Cultural Association, Palestine) and by the University. The course, to be held in English, is intended for those who, working in the field of different disciplines, wish to consider further the themes of peace education, peaceful dialogue and co-existence among peoples of different cultures and religions. During the week of the course, led by a specialised team of lecturers from the UPS and from other Pontifical and State Universities, an Interdisciplinary Study Group will be set up to take part in a full programme of lessons. These will be complemented by a series of cultural visits to Rome and its surroundings, providing those taking part with first hand contact with some places particularly significant in connection with the matters being dealt with. At the end of the course those taking part will receive an attendance certificate.
