India - Rural Youth from Tiruchy Province learn photo-editing skills
(ANS - Pallithammam: 20 February 2007) - Rural youth from the districts of Sivagangai, pursuing Non Formal Education at Bosco Maiyam at Pallithamma had a 10 days training at alaihal MIDEA for editing. The course began on 6 February. All were participating in such a course for the first time. The students said afterwards that it was a golden opportunity in their life and for a brighter future. Many are planning to pursue a career in editing. Some students termed the course as providing them with life skills. They also expressed their desire to learn photography and videography. At the end of 10 days, certificates were distributed after evaluating the projects done by the students. Fr. Amalraj Susai sdb, the Provincial of Tiruchy, attended the valedictory function to distribute the certificates to the students and urged them to develop the skill to attain employment. Fr. A. Raj sdb, the Director of alaihal MIDEA congratulated the students for the commitment shown during the days of learning.
