(ANS – Granada: 16 February 2007) - Between 9 and 11 February the Salesian Novitiate House for the West Europe Region of “Virgen de las Nieves”, hosted an extraordinary meeting of the Iberian Delegation for Social Communication. Fr Pablo Marín, National Delegate for Social Communication opened proceedings presenting the latest resolutions of the Provincials regarding this sector. After this each Delegate presented the programme for Social Communication in his own Province. In the course of the meeting there were also discussions about ANS, the www.donbosco.es portal and the Salesian Bulletin. There was also the opportunity during the meeting to prepare for the next training session for Communication Delegates which will be held in Rome between 1 and 4 March. Those taking part were also able to visit the section dedicated to communication in the “San Juan Bosco” Salesian Institute well-known in Andalucia for its training courses in the language of images and sound. The visit was conducted by Víctor Márquez, Professor of Audiovisual and Theatrical Production. During the visit there was a commemoration of Fr Francisco Guzmán, master and pioneer of Social Communication in Salesian Spain. The Delegates also had the opportunity to visit the splendid city of Granada, noted for its architectural wonders.
