Dominican Republic - Course for spiritual guidance
(ANS – Jarabacoa: 15 February 2007) - Today in the Pinar Quemado Retreat House the course on spiritual guidance comes to en end. Among the 72 taking part are Superiors of communities of the Salesians, the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians, the Daughters of the Sacred Hearts, some Salesians Cooperators and Volunteers of Don Bosco as well as the “Parish Missionaries,” a local religious community. Also present for the meeting is the Provincial of the Salesians, Fr José Pastor, and the Provincial of the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians Sr Verónica de la Cruz. The aims of the course which is led by Juan Crespo are to strengthen an awareness of ongoing formation, synergy among the different groups of the Salesian Family and recognition of the need for spiritual guidance in one’s own life and in that of the young people. Spiritual guidance requires a series of skills and specific experience.
