Lahore, Pakistan – April 2012. The King of Spain, in agreement with the Foreign Minister, awarded the Medal of the Royal Order of Isabella the Catholic to Fr. Miguel Angel Ruiz, director of the “Don Bosco Technical and Youth Center” of Lahore.

Santiago, Chile – April 12 2012. On the occasion of the International Street Children’s Day, some important government officials visited the children of the “Don Bosco Acompaña” House of Santiago, animated and directed by the “Fundación Don Bosco”. The Provincial of Chile, Fr. Alberto Lorenzelli was present.

Rangoon, Burma – April 9 2012. The Archbishop of Rangoon, Mons. Charles Maung Bo, SDB, with the Superior of the Vice-Province of Burma, Fr. Maurice Vallence, signed the agreement confiding the parish of The Child Jesus to the Salesians.

Phnom Penh, Cambodia – April 11th 2012. Teachers, administrative personnel and Cambodian volunteers who work with Salesians in the integral education of the young, celebrated 20 years of the “Don Bosco Children Fund” (DBCF).

Cracow, Poland – April 2012. From April 28 to May 3 about 1,500 young people from 11 European countries took part in the 22nd Salesian International Youth Games, coordinated by the Salesian Sports Organization of the Polish Republic (SALOS RP).

Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso – April 2012. Young people from the Don Bosco Oratory of Ouagadougou, belonging to the Vice-Province of Francophone West Africa (AFO), on the occasion of the Easter celebrations, carried out some missionary activities for the benefit of needy, elderly or sick people.

Caracas, Venezuela – April 2012. The integrated zonal team of the Salesian Youth Movement of Caracas (EZICAR) organized an event presented by DIMISAL (Salesian Missionary Disciples) in which about 450 young people took part, most of them being secondary, higher secondary or university students.
