Lviv, Ukraine - 26 February 2009 - This morning the Councillor for Formation Fr Francesco Cereda finished his visit to the "Mary Help of Christians" Salesian Delegation of the Byzantine-Ukraine Rite in the Ukraine. During his visit between 24 and 1 March, Fr Cereda, accompanied by the Provinicial of the East Circumscription Fr Giuseppe Pellizzari, held several formation meetings with the prenovices, those on practical training and the priests in the first five years after ordination. He also met the Rectors of the Salesian Houses in the Ukraine.

Belle Glade, United States - 21 August 2010 - Fr Manuel Gallo SDB was ordained priest on 21 August in the Salesian Church of St Philip Benizi by Cardinal Oscar Rodriguez SDB, archbishop of Tegucigalpa (Honduras). Fr Gallo was born in Tegucigalpa and studied theology at Tlaquepaque, Mexico (2006-2007) and at Ratisbonne in Jerusalem (2007-2010). He is the first new priest in the United States East province (SUE) since 2006.

Porto Alegre, Brazil - August 2010 - On 30 and 31 August parish clergy in the Province of Porto Alegre (BPA) met to review the Salesian Pastoral and Educational Plan (PEPS) of the Province. With the thirteen parish clergy were Don Natale Vitale, Regional Councillor for the America South Cone Region, and Don Orestes Fistarol, the Provincial of Porto Alegre.

Rome, Italy - 1 September 2010 - A group of Salesians from the Mary Immaculate vice-Province of Madagascar met the Rector Major, Don Pascual Chávez. The group, including the Economer, Fr Vladimir Stuhli, is coming to the end of a pilgrimage to the Salesian holy places in Italy. Arriving on 21 August, the group was based in Piedmont where they made their annual retreat while visiting the places where Don Bosco lived and worked. For most of them it was their first visit to Italy and to the roots of the Salesian charism.

Kumgi-Kondiawa, Papua New Guinea - August 2010 - The Don Bosco Institute of Technology in Kumgi-Kondiawa, in the Delegation of Papua New Guinea and the Solomon Islands of the North Philippines Province (FIN), celebrated Don Bosco`s birthday with a week of activities. The festivities concluded with a cultural display during which students from the Salesian school, in traditional dress, performed local dances. Bishop Anton Bal of Kundiawa and the Minister of Culture and Tourism were present.
