Madrid, Spain – 24 March 2012 – On 24 March, at the Mission Office in Madrid  there was a meeting of those responsible for missionary animation in the  Spanish Provinces,  representatives of the  3  Salesian NGO in Spain “Solidaridad Don Bosco”, “VOLS” and “Jóvenes y Desarrollo”, the Youth Ministry Delegate, the editor of  “Misiones Salesianas”,  the General Councillor for the Missions, Fr Václav Klement and the Regional Councillor for West Europe Fr José Miguel Núñez. 
Fr Klement spoke about current missionary 
projects in progress   in Europe and some 
elements for  missionary development in tne Spanish Provinces . Fr Núñez spoke about the Project for Europe  and the  process regarding the  re-organisation of the Salesian presences in Spain. Fr Luis Martín from the  León Province spoke about the current situation regarding  missionary animation in Spain In the afternoon , Manuel de Castro, from “Jóvenes y Desarrollo”, described the new  coordination structure of the NGO. There was then consideration of good practices regarding the continuation of voluntary service  and the presentation of  Salesian Mission Day for 2012.

San Pedro Carchá, Guatemala – May 2013 – The Sisters of the Resurrection are a local religious congregation founded among the Q’eqchi people. They work in rural parts of the country offering assistance to children, young people and adults, and form part of the Salesian Family. They took part recently in a training programme for the use of internet, electronic post, social networks, and digital photography, all designed to help them in their pastoral work.
Toronto, Canada – 3 May 2013 – Since October 2012, in this Year of the Faith, the SYM in Toronto has held a monthly night vigil called “Night of the Visitation”. It consists of a night of prayer, adoration, faith testimonies, and sharing, all organized by the young people. On 3 May last, the theme was the culture of death, characterized by abortion, which is in total contrast to the hope that Easter brings of a new culture of life.
Malmesbury, South Africa – May 2013 – From 10 to 12 May, eleven young people from St Anthony of Padua parish  took part in a retreat led  by Salesian Brother Clarence Watts. They were given talks on the gifts of the Holy Spirit and on different images of Jesus, and a guided meditation on aspects of the faith. They will be confirmed on 29 June.
San Antonio de los Altos, Venezuela – April 2013 – From 26 to 28 April, 81 young animators of the Salesian Youth Movement gathered at the “House of the Young” in San Antonio de los Altos, together with a group of  young Daughters of Mary Help of Christians and Salesians in formation. A workshop and seminar for the formation of “Young People Accompanying Young People” was conducted by Fr Miguel Ángel García from the Department of Youth Ministry. They studied the youth situation and how to be “angels on earth”, not letting young people become part of the crowd in today’s world. The workshop consisted of six modules: introduction; biblical models of accompaniment; the person who accompanies; the stages of accompaniment;  spiritual accompaniment of young people according to Don Bosco and the relevance today of the Educative System of Don Bosco for the accompaniment of adolescents.
