Oud-Heverlee, Belgium – May 14, 2012 – On May 14, in the Don Bosco Institute of Oud-Heverlee, Fr. Mark Tips, the Provincial of North Belgium (BEN) awarded to Professor emeritus Fr. Jacques Schepens the Diploma of honorary member of the Association of Cultivators of Salesian History (ACSSA), in recognition of his many years of collaboration . Some sisters of Fr. Schepens were present at the meeting, among them the Vicar of the FMA in the North Belgian Province, and all the Salesians of the house. The nomination as honorary member came with the congratulations of the Rector Major, of the Provincial of Germany, Fr. Joseph Grünner, of Fr. Joaquim D’Souza, Superior of the UPS, and other persons, thanking him for his distinguished contribution to the study and teaching of history, of pedagogy and of Salesian spirituality.
