Campo Grande, Brazil – June 2012 – Between 15 and 17 June at the ’“Institute São Vicente” there was a National Meeting for Salesian Brothers with the subject “The profile of the Salesian Brother in the current context”. 40 Salesian Brothers from various Brazilian Provinces took part led by Fr Lauro Takaki Shimohara, Provincial of BCG and the Vice Provincial Fr Edmilson Tadeu dos Santos. Also present were the Salesian Brothers Luis Antonio Amiranda, from the Central American Province and Carlos Orgaz Sanches, from the Province of Bolivia who spoke about their own experiences.

São Paulo, Brazil – 15 June 2013 – On 15 June, a formation meeting on Social Communications was held in the Salesian Province of São Paulo. Taking part were thirty collaborators in the area of Social Communications and marketing, from different social works, colleges, universities and parish pastoral teams. The meeting, led by Katia Pizarro, an expert in the marketing sector, centred on Strategic Planning and Communication.

Salmiya, Kuwait – 24 May 2013 – On 24 May, Fr Blany Pinto, Rector of the Salesian Community in Kuwait, which belongs to the province of Bombay, received the promise of seven new Salesian Co-operators from the parish of St Therese of the Child Jesus. The first group of Salesian Co-operators in Kuwait was started in 2006. At present there are 50 co-operators and 17 aspirants.
