Kahalé, Lebanon – 8 July 2012 – Last Sunday the Centre of the Salesians-Cooperators in Kahalé, the first in the whole Middle East celebrated the 25th anniversary of the first promises made in 1987, while the country was in a state of civil war and Kahalé, on the front line was exposed to frequent bombardment. Invited to preside was Mons. Michel Aoun, the new Maronite Bishop of the diocese of Jbeil-Biblos, who was then a young priest in Kahalé and the first to make the promise as a Cooperator. On this occasion the Bishop recalled with joy the desire of the small group of lay-people to know Don Bosco and his work and declared that the experience was still for him an encouragement in his pastoral ministry.
