Kolkata, India - 1 September 2016 - Sr Lysa Assistant General of the Missionaries of Charity spoke to Fr Johny Nedungatt SDB, on his visit to the tomb of Mother Teresa. “Ever since the abduction of Fr Tom Uzhunnalil in Yemen, we as a community pray daily for Fr Tom’s well-being and his speedy release. We are writing his name on this black board, so that the sisters are reminded to pray for him daily. Intercessory prayers are being offered for Fr Tom. Usually we do not keep photos on the tomb of our dear Mother, but we have placed a photo of Fr Tom on the tomb, close to the statue of our Blessed Mother, and have exhorted our sisters all over the world to keep praying for the safe release of Fr Tom.”
