Syria - The bombings stop the activities of Salesian oratory in Damascus

21 February 2018

(ANS - Damascus) - In recent days, the capital city of Damascus has witnessed many security disturbances due to the war that has been going on for many years. The shells hit the residential neighborhoods, the streets and the various areas of the capital, continuously causing the death and injury of a large number of residents.

Which led to the suspension of our activities at the center of Don Bosco in Damascus several times in the first and second chapters of the year, in order to protect the safety of children and young people. Catechism meetings, Associations meetings and all activities related to the Oratory's activities were suspended until further notice.

"Waiting for the unrest to calm down and resume our activities again. We can only pray for peace in Syria, especially in Damascus, which is living in exceptional bloody situations" the Social Communication encharged for "Don Bosco MOR" said.
