Poland - Eight missionary volunteers sent

13 June 2018

Pola Lednickie, Poland - June 2018 - On 2 June the volunteers of the Don Bosco International Volunteer Service of the Mission in Warsaw received the missionary crucifix during the event called "Lednica 2000". Every year thousands of young people gather at Pola Lednickie to praise the Lord by singing and dancing, participating in prayers and the Eucharist. The Mass was presided over by the Polish primate, mgr. Wojciech Polak, archbishop of Gniezno, who with the missionary crucifix also consigned the destinations to the eight volunteers: Zambia (5), Kazhakistan (2) and Peru (1). The volunteers will collaborate with the missionaries in providing support, especially to children and young people in need.
