Krakow, Poland - May 2019 - From 10 to 12 May, several hundred boys and girls from the various centers of the Salesian Province of Krakow and from Ukraine, and others, took part in "Savionalia 2019", the annual event promoted to joyfully commemorate Saint Domenico Savio. The event began on Friday 10 May with the presentation of the groups on the stage set up at the Salesian seminary in Krakow and a prayer vigil at the shrine of John Paul II in Łagiewniki. The following day, Fr Dariusz Bartocha, director of the Salesian community in Oświęcim, presided over the Mass and parade leading to the Salesian seminary, the event's central site where, during the day, various sports, recreational and musical events took place. On Sunday 12 May, Fr Adam Parszywka, Provincial of Krakow, presided over the Mass, with the consignment of the crosses and blessings to more than 20 volunteers of the Salesian Missionary Volunteer "Młodzi wiatu", leaving for various countries of the world.
