Italy - A tattoo to evangelize

20 June 2019

Rome, Italy - June 2019 - To celebrate the twentieth anniversary of his teaching among poor and abandoned children, Dr Romano Gugliotta, a Salesian cooperator and teacher at the "Teresa Gerini" Vocational Training Center in Rome, asked himself what he could do to bring the young people whom God entrusts to him every day even closer to the figure of Don Bosco and through them to Christ. Dr Gugliotta, being passionate about tattoos, and seeing how they attract the interest of today's kids, decided to get the logo of the Salesian Congregation tattoed on his arm. So now all the children, and not only them, who approach him ask what that tattoo means and Dr. Gugliotta immediately seizes the opportunity to start on evangelization by telling them how Don Bosco entered his life many years ago and changed it when he was still a simple student of the Salesian school.
