Benediktbeuern, Germany - June 2018 - From 22 to 24 June, 274 children and young people met in Benediktbeuern for the annual sports festival called "Don Bosco Masters 2018". The over 30 participating teams, coming from institutions, parishes and Salesian houses all over the country, competed in soccer tournaments, beach volleyball matches, table football and ping-pong. Fr. Reinhard Gesing, Provincial of Germany, presided at the ceremony of prizes in the presence of Fr Johannes Kaufmann.
(ANS - Turin) - Next Sunday, June 24, is the feast of St. John the Baptist, which the past pupils of Don Bosco took to celebrate as a celebration of gratitude towards the Father, Teacher and Friend of young people. In view of this anniversary, we wish to rediscover what guided all the pastoral and educational action of Don Bosco, his dreams. We do so with Fr Andrea Bozzolo, who recently published the book, "I Sogni di Don Bosco," or "The Dreams of Don Bosco. Spiritual experience and educational wisdom."

Rome, Italy - 1887 - In Rome there are the "Camerette di Don Bosco", the rooms that hosted the Saint of the Youth during his last trip to the capital of Italy, from 30 April to 18 May, 1887. Some of the objects that he used constitute the sign of his presence.

On Thursday, August 2, the Solemn Episcopal Consecration will take place and will take on a mission with the sole thought: "May Christ and His Good News be announced to all people".

Italy - Renewed efforts to fight Poverty
(ANS - Rome) - It is not enough to be part of the G7 to be able to claim to have defeated poverty. In Italy, on the contrary, it increases and involves more and more people, with trends and indicators for growth, cause for deep concern, as stated by the National Statistical Institute (ISTAT).
