(ANS – Campo Grande) – Fr Alfred Maravilla, General Councillor for the Missions, arrived on the evening of Thursday, 23 November in Campo Grande, in the Brazilian State of Mato Grosso do Sul, and was received at the provincial headquarters by Fr Ricardo Carlos, Provincial, and by Fr Aldir da Silva, Provincial Delegate for Youth Ministry.
(ANS) – The Social Communication Team of the Americas (ECSA), meeting in Santiago de Chile, promoted an online meeting of the "Voices" project on Wednesday, 6 September 2023, – an initiative of the Social Communication Sector that aims to listen to people who develop communication activities in areas of social vulnerability and capable of transforming local realities, positively affecting the lives of people linked to Salesian presences.
(ANS – Maturacá) - Salesian missionaries in the Maturacá mission in Alto Rio Negro, the Brazilian part of Amazon rainforest, provided support for the Yanomami Indigenous community thanks to donor funding from Salesian Missions, the U.S. development arm of the Salesians of Don Bosco. Salesians have been in the region for more than 40 years and have a school, center and parish.
(ANS – Banswara) – The Salesian residence at Banswara, Rajasthan, was blessed and inaugurated by Rev. Devprasad Ganawa, Bishop of Udaipur, on August 5, 2023, in the presence of the Provincial of the Salesian Province of Bombay (INB) Fr Savio Silveira, and the Provincial Council members, creating a historic moment in the lives of the Salesians of Bombay Province being their first presence in the Diocese of Udaipur.
(ANS – Meruri) – On Saturday 15 July, the community at Meruri gathered to celebrate the 47th anniversary of the death of the Servants of God Fr Rudolf Lunkenbein, a Salesian German missionary, and indigenous member Simão Bororo, a catechist. The event, marked by moments of faith and devotion, sought to honour the two martyrs who left a legacy of love and service to the community as their testimony.
(ANS – Sangradouro) – Representatives of the Missionary Action Group of the Salesian Mary Help of Christians" Province, Brazil-San Paolo (BSP) have recently concluded an exciting Missionary Expedition, witnessing the beauty of the encounter between different cultures and the sharing of faith and hope.

Democratic Republic of Congo – Fr Owoudou on the situation in the eastern parts of the country: “No matter how dark the night may seem, dawn will inevitably come”(ANS - Goma) - During his latest phase of the Extraordinary Visit to the "Mary Most Holy Assumption" Province of Central Africa (AFC), Fr. Alphonse Owoudou, Councillor for the Africa Madagascar Region, conducted an interview with the magazine "JAMBO VIJANA," representing the youth engaged in the Salesian works of the Province's Eastern Delegation. Addressing the ongoing violence and conflicts in the region, Fr. Owoudou expressed hope, saying: "No matter the length of the night, dawn will inevitably come."

Myanmar – Tragedy of Innocent Children in the midst of Armed Conflicts(ANS – Naypyidaw) - Myanmar finds itself immersed in profound grief and anguish as innocent lives, particularly those of children, continue to be mercilessly lost in the enduring armed conflicts. Families are left devastated by the tragic loss of their loved ones while the relentless violence shows no signs of abating. This week, a heartfelt plea from Myanmar reached our community, shedding light on the heart-wrenching death of a young girl Juliet in a military airstrike, prompting a unified call for prayers and action.

Towards the establishment of protection and prevention models": PGS conference with UPS(ANS – Rome) – The synergy between the Salesian Youth Sports Centres (PGS) and the Pontifical Salesian University (UPS) in Rome gave rise to the conference on "Education and culture of safeguarding in sport. Towards the establishment of models of protection and prevention", which will take place on 13 April, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:45 p.m., at the UPS facilities in Rome.
