(ANS – Mawlai) – On 22nd May, Mawlai Parish under the leadership of its Pastor and in collaboration with the Salesian Provincial, celebrated in commemoration the 100th Marian Procession in the city. Celebrated by the Provincial Father Paul O. Lyngkot and concelebrated by 24 other priests in the presence of thousands of faithful the First Marian Procession that took place on 24th May 1922 was commemorated today.
Rome, Italy - June 28, 2019 - Friday, June 28, 2019, the Feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, the procession of the statue of the Sacred Heart took place on the main streets of the city of Rome. Accompanying her was Cardinal Giuseppe Versaldi, Prefect of the Congregation for Catholic Education and titular cardinal of the Basilica of the Sacred Heart, who blessed the faithful and places close to the basilica built by Don Bosco himself.
Fuerte Olimpo, Paraguay - August 16, 2017 – To celebrate the 202th anniversary of Don Bosco's birth, the "Don Bosco" chapel of the Fuerte Olimpo district organized a procession in honor of its patron. Salesian Bishop Mons. Gabriel Escobar, bishop of the Apostolic Vicariate of Chaco Paraguayo, also participated in the festivities.
Macas, Ecuador – 19 November 2016 - Over 1800 students from the "Fiscomisional Don Bosco" Educational Unit, along with their families and many of the faithful, joined in prayer to greet Our Lady Purissima di Macas in a procession through the streets of the city of Macas, which ended with a Eucharistic celebration.
Togo, Gbodjome August 2016- The Novice Master Fr. Paul Wogomebou, presented 16 candidates for Salesian life, who made their profession on 16 August. Seven of the new Salesians belong to the AFO Province and 9 to the ETA Province. The celebration was presided over by Father José Mariza, Provincial of AFO, surrounded by Salesians who had come for the occasion.
Santa Julia, Mexico - August 2016 - On 16 August in commemoration of the 201st anniversary of the birth of Don Bosco, in the Mary Help of Christians Shrine in Santa Julia, six young novices from the Vice-Province of Haiti and the Mexican Provinces (MEM and MEG) made their first profession. The MEM Provincial, Fr Gabino Hernández, presided over the celebration together with Fr Hugo Orozco (Provincial MEG) and Fr Ducange Sylvain, Superior of Haiti. Many Salesians and young people were present.

Democratic Republic of Congo – Fr Owoudou on the situation in the eastern parts of the country: “No matter how dark the night may seem, dawn will inevitably come”
(ANS - Goma) - During his latest phase of the Extraordinary Visit to the "Mary Most Holy Assumption" Province of Central Africa (AFC), Fr. Alphonse Owoudou, Councillor for the Africa Madagascar Region, conducted an interview with the magazine "JAMBO VIJANA," representing the youth engaged in the Salesian works of the Province's Eastern Delegation. Addressing the ongoing violence and conflicts in the region, Fr. Owoudou expressed hope, saying: "No matter the length of the night, dawn will inevitably come."

Italy – "Labs To Future": the final event of the "Labs To Learn" project in Valdocco
(ANS – Turin) – The final event of the "Labs to Learn" project was held on Tuesday, 5 March 2024, entitled "Labs To Future: The path – The results – The challenges" . The project was selected by the "Con i Bambini" social enterprise within the framework of the Foundation for the Fight against Child Educational Poverty and came into being with the intention of combating early school leaving and preventing educational poverty, increasing the number of young people with difficulties who fulfil their school obligation, access higher education and/or job placement, and opening the way for personal growth according to their inclinations and aspirations.

Peru – Centenary of the High Altar of the Basilica of Mary Help of Christians in Lima
(ANS – Lima) – The centenary of the consecration of the high altar in the Crypt of the Basilica of Mary Help of Christians in Lima was celebrated on 19 March, on the feast of St Joseph and in homage to Fr José Calasanz Marqués, then Provincial of the Salesians in Peru and Bolivia – now recognised as Blessed by the Church – on account of his name.
