(ANS - Nashik) - The 13th "National Boscoree", the mega-gathering of Scouts and Salesian guides from India, ended on Thursday 3 January 2019 with a final parade at the Salesian Institute of Philosophy of Divyadaan, at Nashik. Fr Maria Arokiam Kanaga, Councilor for the Salesian region of South Asia, presided over the closing ceremony.
(ANS – Nashik) – The 13th National Boscoree, a gathering of the Don Bosco Scouts and Guides, is being held from 30 December 2018 to 03 January 2019 in Nashik. It is organized by the Salesians of Don Bosco, with 4815 participants, and it is themed “Health, Harmony and Holiness”. The great event began with great pomp and fanfare on Sunday, 30th December, with all the participant and dignitaries gathered on the “Father Sean McFerran Parade Ground”, Divyadaan Salesian College of Philosophy. Ms Ann Choi, Salesian collaborator and the Deputy District Commissioner of the Scout Association of Hong Kong was the Chief Guest for the occasion.

(ANS - Bangui) - In a country torn by conflict and marked by the use of child soldiers, there are 15,000 boys who want to revive their activities as Scouts and thus contribute to peace and reconciliation. The "Don Bosco Foundation" of the Salesians of France, in collaboration with the Association of French Scouts and Guides, has decided to support this commitment, helping them to rebuild their national training or formation center.
Bethlehem, Palestine - December 24, 2017 - "When the socio-political situation becomes alarming, we focus on music," says Fr Vincent Raj, Director of the Bethlehem Oratory, recalling what Don Bosco said: "an oratory without music is a body without a soul." For this reason, on Christmas Eve, in the city where Jesus was born, the Salesians gathered the Salesian scouts who regularly attend the oratory and organized an itinerant exhibition of traditional music.
Tiruchy, India - August 2017 - The Salesian Family of the Tiruchy Province organized a “Rajya Puraskar Award” Training Camp with 160 Scouts and Guides participating. It took place at the Don Bosco School - Surya Nagar Madurai from 26 to 30 July and was Coordinated by Fr John Barnabas, Provincial delegate for Scouts and guides.

Democratic Republic of Congo – Fr Owoudou on the situation in the eastern parts of the country: “No matter how dark the night may seem, dawn will inevitably come”
(ANS - Goma) - During his latest phase of the Extraordinary Visit to the "Mary Most Holy Assumption" Province of Central Africa (AFC), Fr. Alphonse Owoudou, Councillor for the Africa Madagascar Region, conducted an interview with the magazine "JAMBO VIJANA," representing the youth engaged in the Salesian works of the Province's Eastern Delegation. Addressing the ongoing violence and conflicts in the region, Fr. Owoudou expressed hope, saying: "No matter the length of the night, dawn will inevitably come."

Italy – "Labs To Future": the final event of the "Labs To Learn" project in Valdocco
(ANS – Turin) – The final event of the "Labs to Learn" project was held on Tuesday, 5 March 2024, entitled "Labs To Future: The path – The results – The challenges" . The project was selected by the "Con i Bambini" social enterprise within the framework of the Foundation for the Fight against Child Educational Poverty and came into being with the intention of combating early school leaving and preventing educational poverty, increasing the number of young people with difficulties who fulfil their school obligation, access higher education and/or job placement, and opening the way for personal growth according to their inclinations and aspirations.

Peru – Centenary of the High Altar of the Basilica of Mary Help of Christians in Lima
(ANS – Lima) – The centenary of the consecration of the high altar in the Crypt of the Basilica of Mary Help of Christians in Lima was celebrated on 19 March, on the feast of St Joseph and in homage to Fr José Calasanz Marqués, then Provincial of the Salesians in Peru and Bolivia – now recognised as Blessed by the Church – on account of his name.
