(ANS – Rome) – Today we are interviewing Fr Marco Panero, Salesian, professor of Moral Philosophy at the Pontifical Salesian University and Councillor of the Apostolic Penitentiary. His volume of meditations is in the bookstores and is particularly suitable for this time of Lent, with the intriguing title: "In the tent of meeting. Meditations on spiritual life " (Edizioni Ancora, 2023 – ISBN 978-88-514-2783-2).
(ANS – Rome) – Ecology and spirituality are two sides of the same coin. The loss of spirituality is also reflected in ecological degradation. There is, in fact, a 'desacralisation' of creation. And in the face of such a great desacralisation of the planet, the universe and the soul, which is at the root of the great ecological outrage, only the recovery of a sense of the sacred can enable us to care for the planet, our common home.
(ANS - Rome) - Transparent economic management and effective accounting, but also specific attention to the meaning of the Salesian mission - young people - and to the charismatic and spiritual identity of Salesians and anyone who participates in the Salesian mission. These were the main thrusts of the speeches on Thursday morning, Sept. 22, at the "SDB Change Congress." Instead, the afternoon was devoted to communication and the emerging topic of Artificial Intelligence (AI).
(ANS - Aparecida) - On Saturday, September 10, Salesians from 13 different countries, belonging to the Interamerica and America South Cone Regions, demonstrated that Salesian devotion to Our Lady transcends all borders: the Provincial Delegates for Formation and Social Communication, in fact, took a break from the work of their joint meeting to visit the National Shrine of Our Lady Aparecida.
(ANS - Dili) - The days surrounding the Feast of Don Bosco have always been days full of initiatives and activities for the Salesian Family, which concentrates events of importance precisely in those given as a tribute to its Founder. This year in East Timor various celebrations deserve to be mentioned: educational, ecological and spiritual.
(ANS - Tlaquepaque) - Ecology and spirituality are not usually concepts immediately connected to each other, even if the most recent documents of the Church's magisterium on the so-called Integral Ecology have led Catholics to greater interest and more determined action on issues related to the care of the "Common Home". Now, in line with the impulse that Pope Francis has given to this path, the Salesian Institute of Tlaquepaque (ISS) has decided to promote a diploma course in Ecological Spirituality, which proposes an approach to the theme by following biblical paths of reflection, theological and pastoral, capable of leading to an ecological conversion and to assume attitudes and practices consistent with the ethics of the care of the Common Home.
