At Colle Don Bosco and Valdocco there will be a successsion of events and celebrations throughout the day.

(ANS - Turin) - With the Sunday Eucharistic celebration in the Basilica of Mary Help of Christians and the subsequent summary meeting in the Teatro Grande of Valdocco, the 36th edition of the Spirituality Days of the Salesian Family has come to an end. They have been four days of sharing, of open and serious efforts towards growing yet more in the service to young people around the world.

(ANS - Turin) - The Spirituality Days of the Salesian Family have become increasingly lively with the reflections of Saturday, January 20, aimed at exploring how "to accompany in Salesian." Participants met once again with friends new and old, and gathered around the Rector Major, Fr Ángel Fernández Artime, who dedicated a moment to have a word for everyone.

(ANS - Turin) – Step two of these current Salesian Family Days of Spirituality: a morning wherein participants gathered once again in the theater of Valdocco. In the spirit of Don Bosco, the good morning was marked by prayer animated by the novices of Pinerolo. The first part of the day focused on two presentations: the testimonies of Sister Paola Casalis, FMA, and of a young married couple, followed by the celebration of the solemn Eucharist presided over by Monsignor Cesare Nosiglia, Archbishop of Turin.

(ANS - Turin) - The Spirituality Days of the Salesian Family began at 4.30 pm at the Teatro Grande di Valdocco in Turin. The Rector Major, Fr Ángel Fernández Artime, X Successor of Don Bosco, welcomed and greeted the over 400 participants from over 50 nations from all over the world.

  • The silence of the oppressed

Social networks have been overflowing with images and comments regarding the tragedy in Syria. It is difficult not to be moved by images that present us with such great suffering of the weakest.

  • Italy - New eyes and new words to see and narrate the banlieues

(ANS - Rome) - The banlieue, inner-city, or periphery as a space, as a dimension, the periphery, above all, as a lively and vital reality, and not simply a catalyst of social problems and degradation. Because "reality is better seen from the periphery," as Pope Francis said, who has brought the theme of the banlieues into the magisterium of the Church. From this point of view, on March 10th, at the Salesian Pontifical University in Rome, a formation course was held entitled: "Narrating the peripheries: positive observations, constructive words."
