(ANS – Recife) – The month of June is dedicated to the celebration of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, an important devotion of the Salesian Congregation, and the feast of the Patron of the Salesian Province of Ecuador. The Salesians of the Province of Brazil-Recife (BRE) promoted a campaign of solidarity with the population of Ecuador: “Ecuador needs us!” declared Fr. Nivaldo Pessinatti, Provincial of BRE.

(ANS – Cebu City) – Br. Tony Hopida is a Salesian Coadjutor of the South Philippines Province (FIS). At 77 years of age, of which 58 as Salesian, he shares the richness of his Salesian, consecrated and lay identity.
April 1, 1934: Don Bosco, father and teacher of youthful holiness, declared saint
On 1 April, 84 years ago, then also Easter, Pope Pius XI proclaimed Saint Don Bosco a saint. Thus ended the long process of beatification and canonization, begun in Turin on 4 June 1890.
Hungary – DBYN’s Study session: Advocates for Education, Budapest 2018
(ANS – Budapest) – DBYN’s study session Advocates for Education took place from 8 April until 15 April 2018 in Budapest. 24 participants, 4 trainers and several experts from all over Europe came together to learn and teach about Human Rights based advocacy.
Ghana – A warm welcome, education, fraternal love: Salesian charism in action
(ANS - Accra) - Accra, the capital of Ghana, located on the Gulf of Guinea, is a metropolis of 5 million inhabitants. In its metropolitan area, at Ashaiman, the Salesians animate two houses. The presence of the spiritual Sons of Don Bosco in the country then develops through two other communities, namely in the locality of Sunyani, about 400 km north-west of the capital. In both cities, as well as in the new center of Tatale, the Salesians work at the service of children and young people, especially the most in need.
