(ANS – Guwahati) – From 2 to 5 August, the joint meet of the Provincial delegates of South Asia for Social Communication and Formation took place at Don Bosco Institute, Guwahati to discuss on the theme, “Towards a Salesian Proposal for formation in Digital world: Educational Ethics and Pastoral Aesthetics”. The presence of the Councillor for formation Fr. Ivo Coelho and the Councillor for Social Communication Fr. Gildasio Mendes and their team members from Rome, together with the provincials incharge of Communication and Formation at the South Asia level, Fr. K.M. Jose and Fr. Jose Koyichal did add a greater force and credibility to the meeting.
(ANS - Hong Kong) - Since November 1991, the Hong Kong nonprofit organization "Youth Outreach," founded and inspired by the Salesians of Don Bosco, has accompanied thousands of young people in crisis or distress, while also offering them a wide variety of emergency or preventive youth services and programs.
(ANS - Rome) - "It is enough that you are young for me to love you very much," Don Bosco used to say. However, his universal love for young people had a preferential way for the young people who were most in need and most tried by life. Such as young refugees, those who had to leave their country, their affections, and their home because of war; or those, today, who have remained in Ukraine, risking their lives. Today, the Sons of Don Bosco and all those who share his legacy and mission are working across the board, and in so many different realities around the globe, to provide opportunities for young people who have escaped war so that they may have an opportunity for recreation and fun, as well as growth and development for their future.

Democratic Republic of Congo – Fr Owoudou on the situation in the eastern parts of the country: “No matter how dark the night may seem, dawn will inevitably come”(ANS - Goma) - During his latest phase of the Extraordinary Visit to the "Mary Most Holy Assumption" Province of Central Africa (AFC), Fr. Alphonse Owoudou, Councillor for the Africa Madagascar Region, conducted an interview with the magazine "JAMBO VIJANA," representing the youth engaged in the Salesian works of the Province's Eastern Delegation. Addressing the ongoing violence and conflicts in the region, Fr. Owoudou expressed hope, saying: "No matter the length of the night, dawn will inevitably come."

Myanmar – Tragedy of Innocent Children in the midst of Armed Conflicts(ANS – Naypyidaw) - Myanmar finds itself immersed in profound grief and anguish as innocent lives, particularly those of children, continue to be mercilessly lost in the enduring armed conflicts. Families are left devastated by the tragic loss of their loved ones while the relentless violence shows no signs of abating. This week, a heartfelt plea from Myanmar reached our community, shedding light on the heart-wrenching death of a young girl Juliet in a military airstrike, prompting a unified call for prayers and action.

Towards the establishment of protection and prevention models": PGS conference with UPS(ANS – Rome) – The synergy between the Salesian Youth Sports Centres (PGS) and the Pontifical Salesian University (UPS) in Rome gave rise to the conference on "Education and culture of safeguarding in sport. Towards the establishment of models of protection and prevention", which will take place on 13 April, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:45 p.m., at the UPS facilities in Rome.
