(ANS - Vatican City) - Not only "Silence". After the launch of the most recent film by Martin Scorsese, the Vatican decided to tell again the story of the evangelization and martyrdom of the first missionaries in Japan. The opportunity will arise on 6 February next, the liturgical memorial of the Japanese martyrs, with the showing of the film "The 26 Martyrs of Japan," recently discovered in the audio-visual archives of the Salesian Congregation.
(ANS – Bonn) – The Don Bosco Forum in Bonn provided a platform for more than 400 guests to discuss social marginalization of youngsters. “It is our goal as Don Bosco to get youngsters out of isolation” emphasized the managing directors of Don Bosco Mondo (Christian Osterhaus) and of Don Bosco Mission Bonn (Nelson Penedo). Hundreds of young and long-term members of Don Bosco institutions worldwide, interested parties and representatives from politics and society attended the meeting at the University of Bonn.
(ANS - Lima) - Lima has about 10 million inhabitants. According to the latest studies it is one of the most chaotic and busiest cities and according to the World Health Organization it is one of the ten most polluted cities in Latin America. One of the areas where the Salesians work is the Breña district, where there is a Shrine dedicated to Mary Help of Christians. The Salesian work of Brena has a parish where "Sol Bosco” takes place each year.

(ANS – Cebu City) – Br. Tony Hopida is a Salesian Coadjutor of the South Philippines Province (FIS). At 77 years of age, of which 58 as Salesian, he shares the richness of his Salesian, consecrated and lay identity.
April 1, 1934: Don Bosco, father and teacher of youthful holiness, declared saint
On 1 April, 84 years ago, then also Easter, Pope Pius XI proclaimed Saint Don Bosco a saint. Thus ended the long process of beatification and canonization, begun in Turin on 4 June 1890.

The seminar's theme is digital marketing: "Technology at the service of the mission."
Ghana – A warm welcome, education, fraternal love: Salesian charism in action
(ANS - Accra) - Accra, the capital of Ghana, located on the Gulf of Guinea, is a metropolis of 5 million inhabitants. In its metropolitan area, at Ashaiman, the Salesians animate two houses. The presence of the spiritual Sons of Don Bosco in the country then develops through two other communities, namely in the locality of Sunyani, about 400 km north-west of the capital. In both cities, as well as in the new center of Tatale, the Salesians work at the service of children and young people, especially the most in need.
