Prayers to Start My Day

The Vatican Council reminded us that Morning and Evening Prayer are the two hinges on which the Prayer of the Church turns. The reflection on life, alongside the words of scripture, has been a daily practice in the Church since earliest times. This book, authored by Salesian Father David O’Malley, continues that tradition, offering a simple form of prayer for individual or communal use at the start of the day.

(ANS - Rome) - The volume "Young Salesians and accompaniment - Results of an international research" has recently been published by "Editrice LAS", a publishing house of the Salesian Pontifical University.  The book, by Br Marco Bay, SDB, professor of Pedagogical Research Methodology and Statistics at the SPU in Rome, opens with presentations by the General Councilors for Formation and Youth Ministry, respectively Fr Ivo Coelho and Fr Fabio Attard.

An autobiography by Fr. Tom Uzhunnalil SDB, recounting 557 days of terrorist captivity in war-torn Yemen. This book is a classic testimonial to the truth that the Lord alive hears our prayers and that He would surely answer it in His own good time. This book is a solid assurance that when for the Lord’s sake we face trials on one side, He will be there to strengthen us with graces on the other.
