(ANS - Shillong) - On 19 and 20 July, the Salesian "St. Anthony College" of Shillong hosted a conference on archiving that brought together experts and specialists from across the North East of India. Organized by the Department of Mass Media of the Shillong Province (INS), the conference began with a presentation by the Institute's Principal, Salesian brother Albert L. Dkhar, and by Prof. Nathaniel N. Majaw, Project Director of the North East Archive, yet to be launched.

(ANS - New York) – A panel discussion on ‘Youth Aspirations & Climate Urgency’ was organized on 11 July as a side event at the ongoing United Nations High Level Political Forum (HLPF) at New York, by “Don Bosco Green Alliance along with Salesian Missions USA and Don Bosco Network” (DBN).  The HLPF annually evaluates the global progress of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG), hence, this panel discussion focused on SDG 13 Climate Action and the impact of climate change on young people and their future.

(ANS - Turin) – From July 3 to 8, to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the founding of the Association of Mary Help of Christians (ADMA), about 120 members of the Association and other members of the Salesian Family of Spain made a pilgrimage to the Salesian Sites. Led by Fr Juan Carlos Peréz Godoy, Salesian Provincial of Madrid, by Sr. Isabel Pérez, Vicar and Delegate for the Salesian Family of the FMA of Spain, and by several other SDB and FMA spiritual animators, the pilgrims visited Valdocco, Chieri, Colle Don Bosco and Mornese.

(ANS – Hong Kong) – A two-day seminar on the “Common Identity Card of the Salesian Family of Don Bosco” was held last weekend, 6-7 July, in the Salesian House of Studies, Shau Kei Wan, Hong Kong. Among the participants, besides the Salesians, there were different groups of the Salesian Family and mission partners. Over 130 people took part in the event.

(ANS - Rome) - "What paternity today for the Salesians' affective maturity?" was the challenging title of a course of formation promoted by the Conference of the Salesian Provinces of Italy (CISI) and addressed to the formators of the Salesian houses of the Provinces of Italy. The event, held in Rome, at the San Tarcisio Salesian Institute, from 1 to 3 July, brought together about 25 Salesians.

(ANS - Iju) - Mutual trust, team spirit, respect, attention to the common good, love for a job well done, good manners ... More and more often companies and associations ask their employees to live these values ​​and attitudes authentically. For this reason, from 21 to 28 June, the "Don Bosco Tech Africa", at the Salesian house in Iju, near Lagos, ​​organized a week of formation for provincial and national leaders of the Employment Start Up Offices on the theme of "Life Skills". Many participants attended, from all over the Africa-Madagascar region.

(ANS - New York) - Two special events to talk about inclusion, inequality, climate change and the role of institutions and young people: they will take place next week, on 10 and 11 July, in New York, on the sidelines of the High-Level Political Forum of the United Nations on Sustainable Development. Among the promoters there are several Salesian organizations, coordinated by the Salesian representative at the UN, Fr Thomas Pallithanam.

(ANS - Lisbon) - Today it is no longer possible to design and plan without having a team at the foundations and there is no initiative that can continue over time without a group that thinks and plans for the future. Planning and development require paths or journeys that "take into account current languages and are connected with the condition of the young," states the Salesian Youth Ministry Reference Framework. From 24 to 26 June 2019, in Lisbon, a group of Salesians and lay people gathered for a fundamental task: planning and development. Fr Rossano Sala, SDB, Special Secretary of the Synod of Bishops of 2018, illuminated the process with a document with a meaningful title: "Make a team to grow together. For a Salesian reception of the synodal path."

(ANS – Bruxelles) – On 18-19 June 2019, on behalf of Don Bosco International and Don Bosco Network, Wojciech Mroczek, DBN Coordinator, attended European Development Days (EDD) organized by the European Commission in Brussels. The main theme of the event was: “Addressing inequalities: Building a world which leaves no one behind”.

(ANS – Amatitán) – Around 80 participants of PDO’s and TVETS from close to 20 provinces from all over Latin America met from the 2nd-7th of June 2019 in Amatitán, Jalisco, Mexico for a capacity building workshop. DBGA was also present to discuss with the different parties the importance of the integration of green aspects in projects for a sustainable development. A map of already existing activities for a green change in the region was elaborated and inputs from DBGA for a future implementation of green projects were given. The exchange was very valuable and a clear message from the region towards the integration of ecological aspects in their development was made.
