(ANS – Addis Ababa) – A National Conference on the topic of “STOP HUMAN TRAFFICKING” was organized by the PDO at the Salesianum in Addis Abeba on 13 December 2017. The conference was conducted with all the stakeholders working in this topic of Human Trafficking, including the Ethiopian Catholic Church, VIDES, Italian Bishops' Conference (CEI). The project entitled “Humans, not slaves” was entirely sponsored by the CEI. The Salesian province of AET has been active in the campaign against human trafficking for the past two years.
(ANS - Rome) - The formation course for the new Provincials is currently taking place at the Salesian headquarters in Rome. Eight Salesian Provincials from three regions are participating. The Rector Major, Fr Ángel Fernández Artime, will entrust each of them guidelines and a roadmap to empower their roles as guides and animators.

(ANS - Madrid) – Professor Carmen García Peña, Doctor of Canon Law and Professor at the University of Comillas in Madrid, was at the center of the work of the third day of the Salesian International Congress of Youth Ministry and Family - SYMFAMILY17. In her presentation, the professor put participants before the challenges of today's family and emphasized the need for proposals of a youth ministry capable of preparing the faithful for marriage.

The day concluded with the presentation of a number of experiences from different countries, with reflections by regions, and work within the programmed minicourses.

(ANS - Madrid) - The "International Youth Ministry and Family Congress" starts today, November 27, an event that brings together approximately 300 people - pastoral agents representing the Salesian world and the Provinces of the five continents - to reflect on the subjects of family and youth.
(ANS - Bollington) - The 13th General Assembly of the Salesian Youth Movement of Europe (SYM) took place from 17 to 19 November. The meeting was held at the Savio House in Bollington, Great Britain. This year's annual SYM Europe event was attended by 55 representatives from 14 European countries.
