(ANS - Cochabamba) – Taking place from Monday 21 to today, Friday, May 25, in Cochabamba, Bolivia, is an initiative of strengthening and enhancing skills for members of the Provincial Development Offices and Salesians involved in the world of vocational training for young people at risk in Latin America. Participants included representatives of the Salesian Family from 15 countries in the Salesian regions of Interamerica and America South Cone, and European and US NGOs.

(ANS - Turin) - Yesterday, 23 May, the eve of the feast of Mary Help of Christians, the book "La Città di Don Bosco" was presented in Turin. Present for the occasion: the Rector Major, Fr Ángel Fernández Artime, the archbishop of Turin, mgr. Cesare Nosiglia, Fr Enrico Stasi, Provincial of the Special Circumscription of Piedmont and Valle d'Aosta (ICP), together with civic authorities and members of the Salesian Family.

(ANS - Turin) - With today, May 23, the celebrations for the feast of Mary Help of Christians are close to their peak: up to all day tomorrow, Turin will be the venue for numerous events and tributes, even more solemn this year for the recurrence of the 150th anniversary of the inauguration and consecration of the "mother church" and spiritual center of the Salesians worldwide: the Basilica of Mary Help of Christians of Valdocco.

(ANS – Manila) – Forty-four people took part in the second EAO Salesian Study Seminar Workshop, a wonderful opportunity to explore the heart of the Don Bosco Educator. The seminar was held between April and May in the Philippines, in Parañaque City, under the guidance and assistance of the Paranaque Don Bosco Center of Studies Vice-Dean, Fr. Francis Gustilo.

(ANS - Cochabamba) - Someone may wonder, "Who are those ladies with yellow coats walking through life with smiles on their faces?" You could simply answer that they are social workers, women from a certain company, people working for a brand ... Yes, all true answers, but there is more. They are women who are part of the association "Damas Salesianas" (ADS), "Catholic women who direct their efforts to the service of the needy population, especially other women. Their goal is to evangelize through human promotion," says E. Marín, one of the Damas.

(ANS - Tlaquepaque) - In order to promote a more profound Marian devotion, a Provincial Congress on Mary Help of Christians took place from 11 to 14 May at the Salesian Superior Institute of Tlaquepaque. It was attended by about 130 people, most being members of the Salesian Family, and especially from the Association of Mary Help of Christians (ADMA).

(ANS – Muenster) – Around 70,000 participants attended the 101st German Catholic Day in Muenster, which reached its climax on Sunday, May 13, 2018, with an open-air worship service at its best and most popular event to date. The Central Committee of German Catholics, as organizer, speaks of the "largest Catholic Day since reunification." In the middle of it all, a circus tent of Don Bosco put children and young families into the best Catholic Day mood possible.

(ANS - Mestre) - From 10 to 13 May the meeting of the Delegates of Social Communication of Europe took place in Mestre. The aim of the proposed itinerary was to review, present and discuss current pastoral communication in the various Provinces in a constructive fashion.

(ANS - Brussels) - On Friday, 27 April, the project "Toma las riendas" (Take the reins) of the State Coordinator of Salesian Social Platforms (CEPSS) of Spain was presented at the European Commission's Annual Conference for Inclusive Growth (ACIG 2018), an event that brings together civil society organizations and legislators to discuss how to achieve truly inclusive growth. The Salesian representation, organized by "Don Bosco International" (DBI), was numerous, with six people coming from Italy, Belgium and Spain participating in the various activities.

(ANS - Goma) - On 30 April, the Salesian "Don Bosco Ngangi" in Goma, at the eastern end of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, welcomed the Regional Councilor for Africa-Madagascar, Fr Américo Chaquisse. The reason for his visit was the inauguration of the new chapel, dedicated to St. Melchiorre, of the Salesian prenovitiate called "Boscolac", located about ten kilometers from Goma.
