(ANS - Rome) - Fr Giampiero De Nardi is a Salesian missionary who has been active in Guatemala for over a decade. There, together with his confreres, he works to make Christ known and in social development projects. He learned his missionary vocation in his family. His parents, Lillina and Carlo, lived in the Amazon for 2 years in the 1970s and then returned home to continue living as missionaries in their homeland. “The important thing,” they confide, “is to always keep the door open to welcoming others.”

(ANS – Ulaanbaatar) – Ms Mungunbolor graduated from Don Bosco Technical Institute in Ulaanbaatar and since 2011 has been working in the school Administration. After graduation, she worked as the assistant in the library and in 2013, the Salesians sponsored her University studies, majoring in Mongolian Linguistics and Mongolian Traditional script. Since this ancient script is not used anymore in daily life it was quite a challenging time, specially in writing. She spent many nights practising writing with a lot of patience. Finally Ms Mungunbolor graduated from the University in 2017. And last December 2021 she organized an exhibition on the traditonal Mongolian script.

(ANS – Stockholm) – A woman, young, committed to evangelization and education to the faith of children and young people in one of the world’s most secularized countries, Sweden: Fiorella Bastidas, a catechist in the Salesian parish of Jakobsberg and animator of youth ministry projects and activities at a national level. Today she tells ANS about her commitment and efforts.
