INTERVIEWS

(ANS - Aleppo) - "We Christians believe and know that the resurrection of Christ is the true hope of the world ... Today we ask for the fruits of peace for the whole world, beginning with the beloved and beseiged Syria, whose population is exhausted by a war that sees no end." This is what the Pope said in his recent Easter Urbi et Orbi message. In that beloved and martyred land, among an exhausted people, the Salesians continue to be sowers of comfort and makers of peace.

(ANS - Juba) - Fr David Tulimelli is a Salesian who has dedicated his life to the youth of Sudan, a witness of the troubled phases of the country's history in the last decades, before and after its division. Now he is in Juba, capital of South Sudan.

(ANS - Rome) - Just a few days after the closing of the Pre-Synodal Meeting of young people, Fr Rossano Sala, SDB, Special Secretary of the Synod of Bishops, returned to examine the significance and value of this event.

(ANS – Cotonou) – “My missionary vocation was forged, I believe, at the same time as my Salesian vocation. I had the providential fortune of growing up in a very poor neighbor hood of Seville. In my childhood, a very young Salesian community settled in my neigh borhood. It was an insertion presence of the post-conciliar era: few structures, witnessing to evangelical and Salesian life and concrete solidarity with the poorest.” Speaking thus is Fr Antonio Herrera, a Spanish Salesian Missionary in Benin (AFO Province).
