(ANS - Rome) - Next Sunday, 21 November, the sending of the 152nd Salesian Missionary Expedition will take place in the Basilica of Mary Help of Christians during a mass in Turin with a small representation of the missionaries who will be sent ad gentes this year. In view of this, a series of interviews with the departing missionaries begins today. The first to introduce himself is Mbaziira Cyprian, a 27-year-old Salesian brother. Born in Uganda but destined for Slovenia. “It is the love of Christ and Don Bosco which made me decide to express to my superiors the desire of working in the Salesian missions, to preach the Gospel of Christ to those who do not know it yet or who have forgotten it, especially the young people in the footsteps of Don Bosco,” he says.

(ANS – Nairobi) – This is the “VISION” one can read on one of the boards at the entrance of “Bosco Boys” in Nairobi, along with the motto present in various places within the house: “Here to be transformed”. Bosco Boys host hundreds of children, mostly coming from the slums and the streets of Nairobi, offering them all the grades of the regular schooling or initiation to treads and technical skills. It is equally HOME for the prenovices of the Province of East Africa, this year 22 in number, coming from the three Countries of AFE: Kenya, Sudan and South Sudan, Tanzania.

(ANS - Cochabamba) - Fr Miguel Angel Aimar Bruno, a Salesian, has been a missionary in Bolivia for 44 years. Born in 1945 in Busca, in the province of Cuneo, to an Argentine father and an Italian mother, he was ordained a priest on 28 June 1975 and is currently part of the Salesian Community of Kami (Cochabamba). Since arriving in Bolivia, he has dedicated his life in the service of the "Kameños".

(ANS - Guatemala City) - Fr Ivo Coelho, General Councilor for Formation, visited the formation houses of the Central American Province (CAM) in the past few weeks. On the occasion, he gave an interview to the local Salesian Bulletin, in which he spoke not only of his views on the reality of Salesian formation in the CAM Province, but also on topics of general interest, such as the formation of formators, the challenges of initial formation today, the importance of forming the young salesians in communication, and the beauty of the Salesian vocation.
