(ANS - Venice) – His name is Fr Filippo Perin, but he better known simply as "Abba Filippo", as they call him in his mission country, in Ethiopia. With his missionary letters he narrates the experiences he has lived, the traditions and customs discovered, the difficulties and the poverty in which his community finds itself, the hope that never fails him. Returning to Italy for a few days, he answered some questions that allow us to understand the reasons for his missionary choice, renewed every day.
(ANS – Rome) – Marketa is a youngster from Prague, Czech Republic. She is a student at the “Charles University” of Prague, studying in the faculty of Education, and most of all she is attending the Pre-Synodal meeting, since she was chosen as a delegate from the Czech Bishops’ Conference. However, she is also a volunteer in a Salesian organization, “SADBA”, with the Salesians of Don Bosco. Here she offers us a point of view from within the Pre-Synodal Meeting.
(ANS - Rome) - On 4 October 2017, Pope Francis announced a Pre-Synodal Meeting from 19 to 24 March 2018. This meeting is currently underway at the headquarters of the Pontifical International Council "Maria Mater Ecclesiae" in Rome. It ends March 24th. Maria Eugenia Sehara, of Uruguay's Salesian Youth Movement (SYM), formed by the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians (FMA), participates in this event.
(ANS - Rome) - In a long and profound interview Fr Rossano Sala, SDB, Special Secretary of the Synod of Bishops, spoke to us about the situation of youth, the Church and the next Synod, clearly illustrating the need to listen to the world of young people. The theme of the forthcoming Synod closely examines the Salesians, who live for the young, and interrogates and invites them to live this experience as children of a saint who, with the young, knew how to live a relationship of trust, friendship and familiarity.
