(ANS – Juba) – At the Don Bosco centre at Juba (South Sudan), where Salesians have a school, a Vocational Training Centre (TVET), a Parish, a Refugee Camp for 15,000 Internally Displaced People (IDP), the “Caritas Sisters of Jesus” run a health centre that serves the beneficiaries of all our large work in Gumbo. “Caritas Sisters of Jesus” are a member of the Salesian Family since 1986, the Japan born Sisters Congregation (1937) with almost 1000 members is witnessing the Gospel in 16 different countries in all five continents.

(ANS – Rome) – As is the case each year, new missionaries ad gentes were sent out by the Rector Major in 2018, as part of the 149th Salesian Missionary Expedition. One of them is Cl. Anthony Panmei. His destination was the ICC (Central Italian province) with its headquarters in Rome.

(ANS - Rome) - Fr Alejandro Guevara Rodríguez, SDB, a 47-year-old Spanish Salesian, has been the new World Spiritual Animator of the Association of Mary Help of Christians (ADMA) since last 20 September, when the Marian Day in Turin-Valdocco took place.  This is how he presents himself to the members of the association and to the whole Salesian Family.

(ANS - Rome) - At first he led the Special Circumscription "Piedmont and Valle d'Aosta" as Provincial, then he accepted the challenge of animating a newly established Region - the Mediterranean, after the GC27, as Councilor: Fr Stefano Martoglio, today Vicar of the Rector Major, is a Salesian with a lengthy résumé, a Salesian who takes on his responsibilities full on. Today he tells ANS about his recent past and his dreams for the future.
