(ANS - Alcoy) - He is a native of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, just 26 years old and has yet to make perpetual vows, but already in 2017 he left as a missionary within the Project Europe, to witness his faith among young Spaniards. The challenge is not small, but he intends to live and experience it with simplicity and confidence, one step at a time. He is Norbert Mamba Kabongo and what follows is the story of his experience.
(ANS - Vienna) - Since he was elected Councilor for the Salesian Region of Central and Northern Europe, in 2014, Fr Tadeusz Rozmus - 62 years old, originally from Poland – has been traveling a lot. In fact, on behalf of the Rector Major, he is in charge of accompanying his confreres in as many as 33 countries of the Old Continent. Between February and March, Fr Rozmus spent several weeks in Austria, conducting the Extraordinary Visitation and passing through all the houses in the Province. He met not only with the Salesians, but also with the Salesian Family, the members of the partner organizations, the collaborators and the staff employed.
(ANS - Rome) - The Servant of God Nino Baglieri, born in Modica on 1 May 1951, had his life marked by a serious accident that occurred at the age of 17: on 6 May 1968 he fell from a scaffold, remaining completely paralyzed. For him, 10 long dark years began, marked by desperation, closed at home with nothing but the company of suffering. On 24 March 1978, a Good Friday, at four in the afternoon, a group of Renewal in the Spirit prayed for him; Nino felt a transformation in himself and from that moment he accepted his cross and said yes to the Lord's project. We interviewed Liborio Scibetta, of the Volunteers with Don Bosco, who met the Servant of God.
(ANS - Madrid) - Salesian Father Rossano Sala brings his concern for young people in his DNA. At the last Synod of Bishops, on the theme of youth, he was Special Secretary. Last week he visited Spain, where he held a conference at the Ecclesiastical University of San Damaso and presented his book "Youth Ministry: Evangelization and Education of Youth" (CCS, publisher). In his opinion the Apostolic Exhortation signed today in Loreto by Pope Francis will serve to re-launch the synodal path that "does not end until it reaches every local Church."
