Cuba - A bust of the Servant of God José Vandor in the Hungarian embassy in Cuba

Havana, Cuba - November 10th 2016 - The placing of a bust of the Servant of God José Vandor in the embassy of the Republic of Hungary in Cuba is a sign of the Christian values that bind this Salesian priest not only to Cuba, the land where he lived for 40 years, but also to his native land of Hungary. András Drexler, Hungary's ambassador to Cuba, and Bishop Arturo González Amador of the Diocese of Santa Clara presided at the opening ceremony and blessing in the presence of Archbishop Giorgio Lingua, Apostolic Nuncio to Cuba, Archbishop. Juan Garcia, archbishop of Havana, representatives of the Salesian Delegation of Cuba, diplomats, religious and Hungarians who live in the island.
