Lithuania – Don Bosco's biography of Domenico Savio translated into Lithuanian

Lithuania - June 2017 - In this two-year jubilee year regarding St. Domenico Savio, the editor of the Salesian Bulletin of Lithuania, Fr Alessandro Barelli, SDB, translated and curated the biography written by Don Bosco just two years after the death of his "best student." The text has been revised from a stylistic point of view, updating it with the current Lithuanian language. Many the positive feedback from the Bulletin's readers, to whom the book was sent. A part of the Lithuanian episcopate also expressed satisfaction for the publication, and asked for copies to present s gifts to catechists and religious teachers of the various dioceses. The print run was 5,400 copies, which for the small country is very considerable. The work adds to the collection of Classical Salesian texts published in the Lithuanian language, one of the oldest living languages in Europe.
