Ghana – Women raising awareness against trafficking thanks to women
Sunyani, Ghana - January 2018 - On 5 January, the volunteers of the "Stop Tratta", or Stop Trafficking, campaign, carried out by "Missioni Don Bosco" of Turin and the International Voluntary Service for Development (VIS), took part in the annual meeting of the Association of Catholic Women of the Diocese of Sunyani, with about 3,000 women present. The "Stop Trafficking" volunteers discussed the problem of human trafficking, pointing out that in Ghana, where there is a matriarchal society, women's point of view is crucial in decision-making.
