Slovakia - The first Salesian from Aldan, Yakutia
Poprad-Velka, Slovakia - August 15, 2018 - On the 15th of August the Salesian Novitiate of Slovakia celebrated the Mass of the First Profession of two new Salesians: Nikolai Chirkov, the first Salesian from Aldan, in the Republic of Yakutia, Federation Russian; and Michail Vishnevsky, of the Provincial Delegation of Belarus. The two young men made their vows before the Slovakian Provincial, Fr Jozef Ižold. More than 50 Salesians were present - including the Provincial Delegate for Belarus, Fr Viktar Haidukevich, and the Provincial of the Czech Republic, Fr Petr Vaculik - and numerous young people from both Slovakia and Belarus.
