Randburg, South Africa - September 2018 - On September 13-14, several members of the Salesian Family of Southern Africa took part in a seminar sponsored by the South African Jesuit Province and the Catholic Education Institute (CIE), entitled "Being pioneers of digital. Accompanying the young people to be digitally saved." Several speakers came from web giants - Facebook, Google and Microsoft - who illustrated how to use digital knowledge in favor of education. Also discussed: online security, cyber-bullying, social media regulations and the significance of digital environments for youth ministry.
