Brazil – August 2023 – The Councillor for the America South Cone Region, Fr Gabriel Romero, attended the Curatorium of the Salesian Postnovitiate at the São Vicente Institute, Campo Grande on 10 August. In addition to the Rector, Fr Jefferson Luis da Silva Santos, the BMA Provincial, Fr Ricardo Carlos, BCG Provincial, and Fr Natale Vitali, BBH Provincial, were also in attendance. After the opening prayer, Father Gabriel Romero met with the Salesian community and, together with the Provincials present, left his recommendations for this Curatorium. Subsequently, the Councillor for the America South Cone Region celebrated the Eucharist at the inner chapel of the Institute. After the Mass, a moment of family encounter followed, characterised by dialogue and evaluation of the educative and pastoral project.

South Africa – August 2023 – On 13 August, the FMA General Councillor for Youth Ministry, Sister Runita Borja, visited the Salesian Parish of All Saints in Ennerdale, Johannesburg. The day began with the Eucharistic celebrated by Fr Vaclav Klement, Superior of the Southern Africa Vice-Province. Sister Runita Borja, then addressing the young people from the Salesian Youth Movement and the members of the Salesian Family, recalled the importance of building intergenerational ties and constructing a dialogue between young and old. Finally, she encouraged young people to take risks. "If Don Bosco had not taken risks" the Councillor stressed "there would have been no Salesian Family. We are here because people have taken risks, risks that have done good to others.”

Barahona, Dominican Republic – August 2023 – From 11 to 13 August, the Salesian Cooperators from the Dominican Republic took part in the "Mission Camp" 2023, which took place in the Cambodia District of Barahona with the theme "Together we are Mission". During the days, medical assistance was offered to 166 people and school supplies, toys and clothes were delivered to over 200 children. One of the most relevant and significant moments was the renovation of a family's home in a very poor state. Finally, there were recreational activities typical of Salesian settings: a conference entitled "The identity and mission of the family, the love that inhabits it", and finally a concert by the Children's Music Band.
