Sant Boi de Llobregat, Spain - March 2023 - About 50 people gathered at the Salesian house in Sant Boi de Llobregat on March 29 to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Salesian Social Education Platform. Educators, volunteers, directors, families, and friends of the Platform attended the event with the city's mayor, Lluïsa Moret, and other members of the municipality. The Social Platform facilities welcomed all present with a photo exhibit, featuring projected images and other items from the center's 25-year history. After visiting the exhibit, participants headed to the auditorium, where Fr. Joan Camps, SDB, titular director of the Salesian work in Sant Boi, Laura Fortes, current director of Social Platforms, and the city's mayor spoke. "For the Salesians, it is a [source of] pride to celebrate this anniversary: because it fundamentally expresses what is the core of our charism, being next to those who need it most," said Fr. Camps. For her part, the Mayor stressed her commitment to improving people's lives through the Social Platform.

Tokyo, Japan - March 2023 - A retreat was held in Tokyo on March 31, in which more than 100 people participated, including members of the Association of Mary Help of Christians (ADMA) and participants in the "Rosary on Zoom" initiative. The latter was devised during the pandemic by Fr. Angel Yamanouchi, Spiritual Animator of ADMA in Japan, and involves people of various nationalities praying the Rosary in five languages: Japanese, Portuguese, Spanish, Korean, and English. The retreat focused on the Gospel character of Bartimaeus, the blind beggar who threw off his cloak and approached Jesus and was healed, becoming his disciple. Thus, each participant was invited to write down what he or she must now throw away in order to follow Jesus in his or her own life. In the afternoon meditation session, there was the testimony of a Brazilian gentleman who told how he went from a life frustrated by gambling addiction to a life of service. The groups' synodal sharing helped participants face their challenges and live their lives with renewed hope. After the retreat, many people asked to join ADMA.

Recife, Brazil - March 2023 - On March 30, an online meeting was held in preparation for the Social Communication Meeting of the Salesian Province of Brazil-Recife (BRE), then held in Jaboatão on the weekend of April 1-2. The event served to allow participants to get to know those in charge of the event and the proposed theme, "Education and Evangelization in the Digital Environment." The BRE Province communication meeting explored the topics through workshops, sharing, and especially a roundtable discussion with those in charge. The event was attended by communicators from schools, parishes, sanctuaries, youth centers, oratories, Vocational Training Centers, radio stations, and other communication works. In the first stage, in virtual mode, the general presentation of the theme had been by Fr. João Carlos Ribeiro, BRE Provincial Delegate for Social Communication, and Jocasta Pimentel, with speeches by various experts on central themes of the event and information regarding the program of the Jaboatão meeting.
