Bollington, Great Britain - November 2022 - During the weekend of 4-6th November 2022 the SDB brothers in formation gathered at Savio House Retreat Centre for a formation event focused on the theme of "Salesians as digital citizens using social media/communications". This year the GBR Province plays host to 16 young Salesians, from 9 different provinces, at various stages of formation, from practical trainees to 3rd year theologian. Francis Preston SDB (Delegate of Formation) led the weekend with the support of Hugh Preston SDB and Martin Poulsom SDB. The gathering also coincided with the celebration of 70 years of Salesian Presence at Savio House and the opening of the multi-use games area. Savio House has always been a formation community from its early days as a philosophy house to its current presence as a young people's retreat centre. Savio House welcomes hundreds of young people each year and hosts an international residential team of young animators who live alongside the SDB community and fulfil Don Bosco's mission to love and serve the young.
