Caracas, Venezuela - October 2022 - "We must be responsible and clear. If there is no clarity and economic transparency, no project is possible." With these words Fr. Rafael Montenegro, Superior of the Salesian Province "St. Luke" of Venezuela, addressed the participants of the meeting of Provincial Economers, which took place last October 25 and 26 at the Provincial House. It was a fruitful meeting, fostering new knowledge and shared experiences among the Economers of Salesian houses. Fr. Montenegro reminded participants that all administrative and economic efforts must be directed to the educational-pastoral dimension. The goal, the Provincial remarked, is to carry out the mission that God, through Don Bosco and the Salesian Congregation, has placed in the hands of each one.

Castelnuovo Don Bosco, Italy - November 2022 - About 700 young people participated in the "Savio Clubs" at Colle Don Bosco between Saturday, November 5, and Sunday, November 6. Two precious days of merriment, games, and reflections, together with the animators, the Salesians and the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians who organized the various activities, and the companions of the Salesian houses and oratories. The first and second graders (middle school) reflected on the theme of joy and cheerfulness as one of the ingredients of holiness offered by Don Bosco, while the third graders addressed the theme of relationships in the family with the help of several testimonies. Finally, thanks to the possibility of confessions during the day, the children experienced what it means to live a day of celebration with a free and light heart.

Zaragoza, Spain - November 2022 – On November 8, the Salesian school "Laviaga-Castillo" in La Amunia was awarded with the Gold Medal by the Government of the Autonomous Community of Aragon through the Aragonese Institute of Development, an award for all those entities that have demonstrated a high level of commitment in their sector. The award ceremony, now in its 26th year, was held at the Zaragoza Palace of Congresses with Adolfo Ramírez, an expert in digital business transformation, Arturo Aliaga, Vice President of the Government of Aragon, and Víctor Küppers, an expert in emotional coaching. The experts awarded this important recognition to the Salesian institute in the category of nonprofit organizations, rewarding its excellent quality management, according to the "European Foundation for Quality Management" (EFQM) model. This important award honors the Salesian school by indicating it as a benchmark for education in Aragon, in the region of Valdejalón.

Bangalore, India - November 2022 - Fr. Stefano Martoglio the Vicar General of the Salesian Congregation began his visit to the Salesian province of Bangalore (INK) from 12th November 2022. Fr. Stefano Martoglio was solemnly welcomed as he first visited Don Bosco Aluva, the philosophate of the province and the Senior Salesians Mamma Margaret Home in the same campus. Various festivities were organized in honour of Fr. Vicar General. Accompanied by Fr. Jose Koyickal (Provincial, INK), Fr. Shalbin Kalancherry (Vice Provincial), Fr. Joy Nedumparambil (Economer) and other confreres, he then visited Don Bosco Cultural Centre Vennala, Kochi. The evening concluded with a gathering of the confreres from the Kerala region of the province where Fr. Stephano gave the goodnight and shared a fraternal meal with the confreres. The following day he visited Don Bosco Snehabhavan Pallurthy where he partook of the children's day celebrations and other festivities organized on his behalf. In the afternoon he met the Salesian family and interacted with them. He will now journey towards Don Bosco Bhavan Mannuthy, the aspirantate in Kerala and other surrounding institutions.
