Course facilitators included Salesians Fr Jean-Pierre Muhima, in charge of AFC-EST Youth Ministry, and Aimé Lulinda, a Salesian social pedagogy expert, and two lay pastoral animators. The session also focused on the self-assessment of activities by sector of the AFC-EST for the year 2021-2022. The program schedule for next year's youth ministry was inspired by the insights of Fr Muhima who outlined the key players, target audiences, challenges, strengths and weaknesses, goals, lines of action, activities to be carried out, and time-frame. He reminded participants of the priority dimensions of Salesian Youth Ministry, including faith, education, culture, association and vocation.

Lo Cañas, Chile - August 2022 - The Provincial of the Salesians of Chile, Fr Carlo Lira, together with the Provincials Fr Líder Justiniano of Bolivia, Fr Manuel Cayo of Peru, and the Vicar of the Province of Ecuador, Fr Ángel Lazo, on August 26 carried out the Curatorium of the theologate of Lo Cañas, with the participation of the formation community. The meeting began with the gathering of the Provincials and the community council of the theologate, who worked on the report of the provincial visitation, the formative year and economic aspects; in addition, challenges and tasks were analyzed and defined. Fr Carlo Lira emphasized "we reviewed the previous acts to see the challenges and agreements we had reached and see if they were taken into consideration. Then we had a meeting with the formation team that showed us the year's work, seeing the increased focus of attention and some positive situations, such as the fact that now the formation team has external supervision." The provincial added that "the challenge is always to help each young person personalize their process, even though they are all training and taking similar courses according to the curriculum of their theological formation offered by the university, the idea is to personalize it and live it according to each reality. That is why we have asked that personal accompaniment, dialogue, the role of the rector and with therapeutic processes to help with awareness be strengthened. There are assessments, workshops and even psychological accompaniment when it is required." After the meeting with the theologate community, each provincial was able to dialogue with the Salesians in formation about their formation process.
