São Paulo, Brazil - August 2022 - Last Saturday, August 6, the Provincial House of the Brazil-São Paulo Province hosted the gathering of the ministries of the Capital and Paulista regions. In total, the event brought together 217 altar servers between the ages of 5 and 17. The opening was held at the Shrine of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, with Mass presided over by the Provincial, Fr. Justo Ernesto Piccinini. Afterwards, participants attended a formation seminar led by Fr. Rafael Galvão, BSP's Vocational and Mission Animation Officer. In the morning there was still time for a recreational workshop prepared by Salesian Bruno Richard Inácio and young Larissa Borges from the Don Bosco Institute. In the afternoon, the day continued with festive oratory activities, with different types of games - volleyball, football, board games, inflatables... - and the activities ended with the Salesian "good night" message.

Zapopan, Mexico - August 9, 2022 – Fr. Hugo Orozco, Councilor for the Salesian Interamerica Region, celebrated the 25th anniversary of his priestly ordination on Saturday, August 6. Although the exact date of his anniversary was in March, it was only now that the Regional Councilor was able to celebrate the occasion in the company of some of his ordination and novitiate companions, as well as his family, friends and Salesians from his home Province of Mexico-Guadalajara. "I am a witness of all the good things God has done through a simple man, through the ministry I have received," were some of the words spoken by Fr. Orozco on the occasion. After presiding over a Eucharist in the chapel of the "Anáhuac Chapalita" Institute, of which he is a former student, Fr. Orozco received the best wishes and tributes that Fr. Filiberto González, MEG Provincial, brought him on behalf of all the Salesians of the Province.

Maputo, Mozambique – August 2022 – On august 9-10, 2022 the Rectors, Economers and members of the Provincial Council of the Mozambique Vice-Province (MOZ) gathered in the Provincial House for their mid-year formation and planning. The whole morning of August 9 Fr. Alfred Maravilla, General Councilor for the missions, was invited to discuss his letter “Salesian missionary vocation. Reflections, processes, and operational guidelines.” This was followed by an open forum and discussion on matters regarding the missionary animation of the Vice Province. After the meeting, Fr. Maravilla continued his animating visit to the various works of the Vice Province.
